Cupressus lusitanica ★ CYPRESS

An fast-growing evergreen large tree with buttressed base. The crown is pyramidal in young trees while older trees have spreading branches with drooping ends. The foliage is blue-green in colour with toothed margins. Cones occur at the ends of branches as solitary or grouped. It is widely planted as a forestry and commercial timber tree.
