A tropical perennial with smooth, elongated oval leaves featuring alternating light and dark green stripes. The undersides are a soft purple, adding a beautiful contrast. Its leaves exhibit a unique “praying” motion, folding upward in the evening and opening again with daylight. Occasionally, it produces small white to pale violet flowers.
