An evergreen bromeliad type of plant that grows in a rosette of stiff, arching leaves that form an urn or rosette at the base. The strap-shaped long leaves are a silver-blue colour.  It can also be grown as an epiphyte, with moss around its roots and wired to rough bark. The pink flower will last for months until new rosettes form from which a new flower will come up.
